Okay, so chapter one doesn't actually seem that bad. This book isn't like anything Ive actually read, but oddly its interesting enough for me to keep reading. I haven't wanted to put it down yet. I can't really explain what happens in the first chapter in words that would make a lot of sense but for the most part the scene is set in a French Rivera, and the story is following a female named Rosemary, who seems to maybe be critical on herself, or somewhat hiding from something. The book goes into great detail about the characteristics of the people on the beach where Mary is and explains the structure of the book. At the end of the Chapter it seems as if someone noticed Rosemary and when she went over to them they asked her why she wasn't back in America; mentioning something about movies also, which is making me think she is either an actress or a film director.
